Make that getting to 2nd Round of NIT, something Cuonzo couldn't do his last season.

Would it be crazy to replace Madsen with him? I know the jury on Madsen is still out but, with good NIL, couldn't we kick butt with a coach with this pedigree?

Cal athletics are going to be determined (in no particular order) by

1) The existential threat posed to the current higher ed funding model by the current administration.

That is NON POLICAL....the current administration clearly is trying to change the status quo and the change, at least in the short term, will require painful readjustments until a new revenue model/cost structurec omes into clarity.

2) Gaining acceptance in an expand Big10 once the ACC implodes/whatever emerges for the "west coastt" super conference (I do not believe that CFB works with just four teams in the Pacific Time zone....though it should be noted that there are only 5 in the NFL (and then just 2 in the Mountain).
