Got email from Cal basketball that included an option to buy a Commemorative Ticket with your seat number. Option to buy a standing case. Ticket for MBB or WBB:

Cal promoted this in an email

I also posted it in the FB board to respond to someone who wanted a paper ticket for a keepsake

I told him this isn't the same thing but sent him the info in case he was interested

I thought posting the info on the public board in case someone else was interested

I have most of the Cal bobble heads. Do you think Cal would consider a miniature commemorative The Portal to be handed out to the first 12,000 fans at the Athletes in Action pre season game (added to schedule next season)?

I like it! Even cooler would be a commemorative "one way ticket to Colorado Springs" memento with knowlton's name engraved on it. I would pay a lot to make that happen.

Now that's a souvenir I would buy, maybe an "I survived the Fox years" T-shirt. I don't think asking fans if they want to spend money on commemorating a 14-19 season has any more credibility if Cal endorses the email or if it's just one more piece of marketing spam. Spam is spam.

I will say one thing for the 3-29 year: Over the course of the season, I probably met 20+ people in my section! Normally, somebody 3 rows down and four seats over, no way you're going to start up a conversation. But that year we always did, because the next human was another 12-15 feat away. And now we still say hi!
