I don't recall Carr coming back into the game after he limped off. Broadcast said it looked like a cramp - but the broadcasters also spent time arguing over why Roxy would be familiar with the Roadrunner.

Not necessarily good news, it could involve ligament tears. Happened to me once and I was limping for a few months.

I've been able to walk after two instances of moderate ligament damage. I've also seen video of football players walking off the field after season-ending ACL tears but they're way tougher than I am.

Just a different opinion, but I don't think depth will be an issue this year. Whether our subs played it even or not, it looks like we've got some guys coming off the bench that are real players. Petraitis, Carr, Dorsey, and Ilic look like competent players to me. And of course D.J. wasn't suited up. And BTW, what's the deal with Ruff and Yeaney? Anybody know?

IMHO Petraitis is fine and may end up starting. Not sure about Carr but I think he has some potential. Dorsey and Ilic together in 30 minutes got 6 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 1 steal, 1 turnover, and 5 fouls. They're both grads so I'm not expecting a lot of improvement.

I forgot about DJ, he should help. The premium board has details about Ruff and Yeanay.

They've known about it and felt redshirting will do him well.

Agreed! I think this season will be fun at least.

I also like this team. I saw a few rookie mistakes by non-rookies (Pippen), but overall the good ball movement, energetic defense and general teamwork makes me 50% more optimistic than I was a week ago. I'm hoping the rest of this noncon schedule goes the same way.
Camden, once he gets more confident with his shot, has a chance to be this year's star.
Ilic should start over Dort for his quicker feet and scoring potential, with Dort reserved for defensive setups when we need a widebody.
Rebounding seemed weak against a weak team, so that could be an issue going forward.

If he can go 5-7 every game, sure, he's fantastic, I just did not see him move any differently than he did last year. He is a D1 center against WAC teams, not so against ACC teams. If he's really the No. 1 and Madsen is sticking with him no matter what, I hope you're right and I'm wrong. But Ilic deserves equal minutes to see if he can outperform. Just watch him next time, he's Dort at 1.5X speed.

I'm sure your point is valid. I just didn't see enough of Ilic on Monday to come to that conclusion. The good news is that if its a close call it will ultimately make both guys better. If they're both capable it will also reduce any personal fouls issue at the center position. We shall see.
