It's not fair. There are more people at this one game than Cal has played in front of cumulatively this season.
It's not a good sign when all of Cal's baskets are tough shots, and all of KSU's baskets are easy shots.

That's what we thought too, but since we were wondering why he was still in with 2 fouls, we looked online, and it shows Dort only has 1.(with about 11 min left in the half.)
KSU three point shooting is unreal.

KSU has 10 "newcomers" - I think 7 through portal - I guess their NIL shopping was better than Cal's.

Need a heroic comeback, but I'm not seeing many K-State weaknesses, they shot the lights out. Why test Dut in this game?
Now we know how we'll look against better athletes. But I don't blame us for K State hitting all those threes. Maybe we can regroup and play even in the second half.
The not-too-shiny silver lining is we get to see everyone (except Campbell) play against good competition.

K State is really good. We don't belong on the same floor as them. Guess we're getting a preview what the Duke and NC games are going to be like.

We've now become a turnover machine.
I love Mark Madsen but games like this make me wonder where we'd be if we went with Pasternak last hiring cycle.
I think Madsen is doing what he can with the NIL resources he has, but it's clearly not enough.
If Pasternak was the choice that would have resulted in a healthy NIL budget, then we'd probably be in a much better spot right now in terms of competing against P4 competition.
Hopefully next offseason gets better since the House settlement went into effect.
