Are season ticket holders welcome or do they want us to hand over another 10 bucks?
I assume Entry 9 is the student entry on the north end.

During school breaks I sometimes sit in the student sideline seats and have never had an issue

Until we have a big time opponent, I find I can sit pretty much anywhere.

Ok bought it for Friday night. Maybe I just could have sneaked in with my regular cheap seat season ticket, but what the hell. BUT WHERE IS ENTRY 9????

Looking at Google Maps photos I see Entry 7 on the north end, but I can't seem to find a picture that shows Entry 9. Maybe it's the one inside the baseball field? C'mon folks, help me out here. Or, I could just walk around the place until I find it. Ha ha.

There might not be a permanent Gate 9 sign, but apparently it's often used as a separate entrance for some events. Per Reddit:

Gate 9 is located on the side of Haas Pavilion closer to the baseball field (Evans Diamond) that is, on the northwest/north side of the arena if you are facing the building from Bancroft Way.

  • If you enter the Haas Pavilion area from Bancroft Way / the main front entrance, walk towards the baseball field (Evans Diamond) behind the arena Gate 9 should be along that side.

Aha. Thanks. Don't think I've ever seen that gate.

A friend offered us his seats but I bought 4 tickets anyway so we wouldn't get hassled. Even bringing my wife to her first Cal hoops game.

It's odd that they want you to enter on the opposite side of the arena and walk all the way around to the student section. Maybe it's so they can hire and post more yellow jackets, say about every 10 feet from Entry 9 to the student section. You know, for security, wouldn't want anyone sneaking in.

I have definitively located Gate 9, and found that it is the least accessible entrance to the place.
Walked down Bancroft from Tele just now and found that the only direct way to the northwest corner of Haas was through the RSF. So I walked in, even as a non -student without entry privileges, walked all the way north through the building only to find the exit doors overhung with huge signs "DOORS ARE ALARMED". So was I at that point. So back through the building, down Bancroft, through the luckily open gates adjoining Edwards, back up the other side, through the luckily open gates adjoining the baseball field, and way up in the left field corner, Eureka! Entry 9!!!
Thanks ATO. They gave us elaborate instructions on how to get the student section tickets on to our phones, and said you must enter through a hidden gate, the location of which we will give you no clue.
But now you know. You're welcome.

Virtually nobody enters Gate 9 through the RSF. They all enter via the open gate at Evans Diamond at the NW corner of Haas.

I'm not exactly sure what that means, since Edwards does not adjoin Haas, but I'll try to check it out this morning.

Update. This morning a sign was posted at the northwest corner of Haas next to the baseball field that said Entry 8 and Entry 9 check in here. So that's as stated above (although Entry 9 itself is actually closer to the southwest corner of Haas at the left field corner of the baseball field, inaccessible through the RSF from Bancroft, but never mind that!).
So if you know how to get to the baseball diamond, either by walking from Bancroft and Dana around the outside of Haas or from Oxford up through campus, you're fine.
Ok enough. This is getting tiresome.

Update: Louisville tix arrived in my e-mail 9:30 this morning 12/29. One day before the game. Sheesh.
Jan. 2 Notre Dame tix. Not yet.

Hey all - just planning ahead here. I have 2 friends in town for the notre dame game and would love to take them to the student section. Seems like it all sold out now so if anyone has 2 tickets and are planning on not going please PM me.
