Thanks for posting this. I had thought Aimes took another dribble after the whistle and we got away with something, but the reply shows it was the right call.

This was all correct, but the official should have called the foul much earlier, when the ND defender grabbed Ames. After he missed that call, he was correct to make the call on the tush push. Had he made the initial call, right after half court, we would have been screwed as it would have been just NDs 6th foul and an in-bounds play for us.

He fouled him with a quick grab to the arm a few seconds before that. Regardless of whether or not that quick grab was called, the ref made the right call on the tush push foul.

It seems the ND player recognized that he may have fouled by making contact because he immediately threw both of his hands up unless he heard the ref blow his whistle right then.

I think the ND player tried to foul, but missed because Ames sidestepped him and dribbled behind his back. The ND player then tried to foul (and succeeded) as Ames set up for the three.
