Waiting for him to come back and help us "cope" with the loss of our coach to the Utah State fighting boll weevils. Really appreciated the compassion and generosity of spirit underlying his completely non-trolling offer.

Hope their new coach enjoys living in Logan, Utah. It just won't be Mark Madsen

USU's new coach does look like a pretty good hire. It was probably always silly to think they could poach a coach from the ACC.

Utah State seems to have a pretty decent track record on hiring basketball coaches post Stew Morrill. They moved on from Tim Duryea relatively quickly and made a good hire in Craig Smith who did well there but surprisingly not well at Utah (odd, looked like a good hire at the time). After Smith they made a fantastic hire in Ryan Odom, then replaced him with Danny Sprinkle who also did well there, but seems to be struggling at UW. Looks like a good mix of hiring solid coaches alongside institutional support for the program. Perhaps the Cal athletic administration should look to them for some advice. Even their average attendance is about double that of Cal's!

Not surprised at their attendance. I went to games there and at Weber State when Cal played Utah the last time. It was a great atmosphere.

Even though she is a 41 year old mother of 2 on her third marriage, twice the age of the players, old enough to be their mother.
