Who's tweet?
What does it say?
(who are the recruits?)

Don't think I am supposed to link it ... I don't know the recruits (although I assume one is Rabb)

I found it on the espn gamecast site under the twitter feed section

I'm not sure that's a good thing with that absolutely pathetic attendance. I realize Southern Utah isn't a draw (okay, I understate it) but good programs generally draw crowds because of their own teams and even for crap games. This was as empty as I've ever seen Haas, except maybe that last Braun NIT game.

Yah but you're talking about programs like Gonzaga, that don't have FBS football teams. Wait . . .

Monday Night late start versus Southern Utah in Mid-November. Unless you're retired or a student, that's a real tough sell. I'm not worried about attendance.

This was the second largest crowd of the year. :facepalm

I do not understand the small crowds. The Bears are good this year. It feel great to watch Cal players perform after all those difficult football games.

I asked a dozen Cal grads whether anyone wanted to join me for the game yesterday. They were all busy. Eventually, my girlfriend used the ticket. She is not a huge basketball fan, but that was nice.

If the Bears keep winning, I suppose the bandwagon fans will re-appear.

I've been to quite a few of those, and I don't think 8:00 starts make it harder to attend. I don't know what attendance they announced but the place was really empty.

I'm pretty sure that's paid attendance. All those empty blue seats had tickets.

They were comfortable though. We had our choice of whole rows to move into.

if it's public you can absolutely share a link to it. it's not a direct competitor so the mods don't get their undies in a bunch over it.

I have to disagree. The 8pm start times mean not getting home by bed time on a work night.

Did I just say that?

It was no less crowded than last Tuesday's game.

It only adds 30 minutes to a game + TO's & Fouls. Bed time at 10:30? I know you can handle this CB. Get prepared mentally. Your team needs you.

LOL, I haven't missed a game in 20 years. But 8pm tip-off means home at 11 which is pushing it when the alarm is set for 5:30AM!

Yeah, I live in SF, about a 15 minute from BART. Last night I got in about 10:50pm. Not too bad, but I booked it at the buzzer to get to BART by the 10:08 train.

8 pm start times are just late enough to preclude attendance of kids of a certain age. 7 pm start time was better.

Is it possible that another variable is the easier access of the games on TV as a result of the PAC 12 station? Oakland game would not have been on TV in the past.

I believe that is 100% the reason for the 8PM start times.
