How does Jabiri fit in this line-up? There is only one ball.

There is only one ball, but there also are only five Cal players on the court at any one time. i have not looked at the stats, but would bet Mathews, for instance, takes more shots per minute played that does Bird.

Jabari is not a ball hog and will do fine. Monty will solve the equation of having more guys who can help win a game.

Go Bears!

Surprisingly (to me), they shoot at about the same frequency when on the floor.

Bird, 0.356 shots/min. Translates to 10.68 shots per 30 min.

Mathews, 0.377 shots, min. Translates to 11.34 shots per 30 min.

Bird has been more efficient (41.9% FG, 40.0% 3PT) than Mathews (35.3 FG, 29.1% 3PT).

One interesting stat: our highest volume 3pt shooters are Wallace (65 attempts) and Mathews (55 attempts). Wallace has played way more minutes (484 to 307). They are making them at a 33.8% clip and 29.1% clip, respectively.

These stats are from the official cal website and include tonight's game.
