Agree. Too many empty seats yesterday for an important game. If you are a Cal fan and live in the Bay Area, shame on you.

Powers, Solomon and Cobbs come out with their families... I'm up on my feet clapping... I dare not catch the crowd in my peripheral vision, as there are so many empty seats it would make me sick.
Some empty seats were for folks who just never came to the game. No doubt lotsa students had mid-terms coming up.
Others were for people who eventually arrived, but could not see fit to leave 15 minutes earlier to see the seniors walk out.
Still others were for chairbacks who were enjoying a tasty beverage behind their expensive seats and came out later when they were good and ready. Hey, their money really helps the program!
This is Cal Basketball.
there were 9500 true cal fans at the game, you know, the ones who don't just watch on tv
that's a very good turnout for college basketball on the west coast
a lot of them aren't in their seats prior to the game because they're drinking downstairs by the baseball field or eating near campus
bears fans are not a early arrival crowd...the bay area isn't a dump like salt lake city or spokane
this is cal basketball#

Yeah you're right.
Get there 15 min. early once a year to cheer for the seniors when they walk out for the last time... What was I thinking? After all, there are midterms to be studied for, nice weather to be enjoyed, drinks to be drunk, etc. Plus, how could Cal fans arrive early when they're not an early arrival crowd?
