Jorge got in with 4 and change in a blowout win over Sacramento.
Announcers had some nice comments about him, mostly to the effect of how everyone around the Nets organization is impressed with Jorge.
His line, o-1 from the field, 1-2 from the line, one steal, and one jump ball, and one signature Jorge floor burn. The last was typical Jorge, inside, then pushed out, he somehow worked his way back in, to gain a partial position of a loose ball, leading to a jump bsll. He did not control the jump, against a taller player.
By the way he got a nice hand from the crowd when he made his first foul shot. His first NBA regular season point.
He seemed to be playing under control, not with the complete abandon we all saw at Cal, that was until that ball was loose on the floor. Then he was like a dog on a bone.
Congrats Jorge.

Awesome to hear - it's impossible to root too hard for that guy.

Thanks for posting. Got the chills watching that. Just remarkable that he's reached the game's biggest stage considering the incredible odds he faced.

I know.

Sometimes I wish I didn't remove all the quotes from the posters from my signature that said there is no way Jorge will ever play one minute in the NBA.

I think he looked okay. Looked confident with the ball, struggled to defend on the pick and roll and his one shot wasn't close. But he did look a little nervous. Was great to see him get on the floor, win the tip against a bigger guy and just explode with the ball to get to the line at the end.

Would love to watch more of Jorge, I think he can only get better.
