Great news! If true, we don't have to worry about him coming to Cal.

Kent's strength was recruiting, but I wonder how well that'll work at Wazzu. The Bennetts did well there because they coached the hell out of their players. Ernie's never been quite that guy.

Recruiters recruit. I predict he will do fairly well. An upgrade. What was inspiring about Ken Bone when they hired him?

Good hire for Wazzu. Kent is an excellent recruiter and his players graduate. Not the best coach, but ran a clean program. Should do well if Wazzu fans are realistic - NIT with the occasional NCAA appearance.

This is actually a very solid signing by WSU.

A better hire than I expected from Wazzou. Good for them. Kent should have them at the NCAA bubble on a regular basis. Definitely an upgrade.

Kent hires his former UO Duck (under Coach Dick Harter) team mate Greg Graham (assistant at Bradley), and Silvey Dominguez (assistant at Air Force; at $uSC recruiter under Bibby).

WSu will run a more aggressive "kamikaze defense" ala Coach Harter.

Bone was an economy hire who'd had success at lower level programs (Seattle Pacific, Portland State) and was a key assistant to Romar in a successful period. He is actually a good coach who couldn't get enough talent to Pullman to make a difference and his best find, Davonte Lacy, missed time with injury. He did recruit a very good combo guard (Tramaine Isabell) for 2014 who will help Kent.

...and his staff will recruit CA very successfully.

BTW--I liked Coach Bone and I wish him success in his future challenges.
