That's nice. But ya gotta be in the top 30 for it to mean anything.

Mathews had a better year.

Bird's rating has to be due to potential and/or his rating coming out of high school, when he was a McDonald's All American.

Kravish for one is clearly more valuable (better?). Wallace, also. And from what we have seen thus far, the case can also be made for Mathews and Singer.

That said, possibly Jabari has more untapped potential than all of the above. And we are all hoping that soon he will play to his potential, for that is crucial for our team to fulfill its promise.

It's up to Cuonzo to help Bird hone his skills and develop his game in order for Jabari to reach his full potential. Coach Martin has the makings of a solid team, where a potential elite player like Bird could shine without necessarily dominating the ball.

I'd say it is more up to Bird.

+1.

No offense to Jabari, but as with all of us, what we do and make of our lives is up to us. This is not to say that some don't get dealt better hands than others.

I'm ranked number six in my house, right behind the Yorkie and the mini horse, but ahead of the ridiculously intense Australian shepherd and the chickens. Rankings don't mean much. Especially in the preseason.

I agree when it comes to basketball, but those in-house rankings matter a lot. I can see being ranked behind the mini-horse, but chickens? You're not practicing hard enough.

Yeah. Definitely need to step up my game.

As they said in their blurb, it is also about the numbers he put up in the NIT.

I do think he is poised for a big season. His game is well suited to what Martin wants to do.

I suppose that means I'm ranked behind the bobcat, who recently ate all my chickens in two separate raids!
Starting over in spring with new chicks...

That's a tough break. That is the main reason I'm ahead of the Aussie. He keeps killing our chickens.

What do you attribute it to? Personal growth, or did the bobcat get to your cats, too?
