Let's do the following as a study:
All D1 school test their players' vertical leap, then assemble the data with the following columns:
Race
Height
Vertical jump
What would the vert leap be for different races? Clearly, there are many mixed race players to obscure this.
What would the vert leap be for different heights? At what heights do players verts diminish? I'm assuming it increases as standing height increases, but then goes down with the super tall guys, who lack athleticism but are on squads simply due to height. But maybe it could be that the shortest guys have the highest verts and that's how they compete with taller dudes. Therefore, instead of a bell curve it would be a straight line down. Hmm.
I guess the NBA already has this data assembled with their pre-draft data.
