Just watched Creighton beat South Dakota in double overtime. Great college basketball game. Kreklow played off the bench for Creighton but was in at crunch time. Mostly rebounded, played defense, and hustled. Same MO as at Cal. I think he would have really helped us this year with his intangibles. He chose to leave Cal and walk on at Creighton. Now that the dust has settled a bit, does anybody know why he left? Was it just that he saw Bird and Matthews would be getting all the time at the 3 or was it more to it than that?

As stated many times, he didn't want to play forward. Apparently it was more important to get out of town than to play out of position.

That was the public reason.

He doth protest too much

I generally felt that the guy was more of a liability than his intangibles made up for.

I'm sure a number of factors played into it. Not wanting to play the 4 was probably part of it. His girlfriend going to Creighton was also probably part of it.

Losing minutes to a guy who understands defense to mean an open gate to the basket didn't help.

Is that what happened at Missouri?

So who is he playing behind at Creighton?

Well since I have yet to see any interview with him definitively stating his reasons for the transfer, it seems the appropriate adverb.
