Kind of surprising Alloco makes the move now after 24 years of high school coaching:

He was at 99 losses, and didn't want to hit triple digits...
Nah, good for him. I will have a hard time being indifferent toward USF now.

FWIW, the USF AD is one my dad's neighbors. The old man keeps telling the AD to can Rex Walters every time he talks to him.

Frank really wanted the St. Mary's job before Bennett. Really, really wanted it...

If he and Rex ever get leaked off at each other it will register 7.6 on the Richter.

Speculation not likely.
More likely is right time, situation, and salary.

Frank has made a small fortune off of his long running (20+ years?) "Excel" summer youth basketball camps. They have about 8 weekly sessions and they have always sold out. My sons both participated as campers, and then later as employees, and Frank has always hired local players to be camp employees. I do know that a year or two ago De La Salle made the decision to no longer be the host location of the camps, and Excel had to move to other venues/gyms.
Just a hunch, but I'd assume that Frank is letting his son Frankie run the camps now, as being a coach of a D1 program he will not have the time to be as involved in that enterprise in the summer. He'll be out recruiting....I agree, right time and situation for him to move on.

My kids have done the camps and clinics too, I picked up a lot of things from Frank Sr. to help my coaching. Frank Jr. does the club program, Sullivan ran the admin on the Excel camps. Frank Jr. and Sullivan can run the camps. Yeah, I noticed DLS not giving the gym for Excel camps anymore and then with Frank Jr. and then Sullivan leaving not surprised that Frank Sr. moves on to something else.

Player interaction issue during a game. Here is Jr. and Brad Millard during their St. Mary's College days:

So the big question is, how is Sr. going to handle not being able to walk around stomping the court to get his players attention?

Sr. is going to stomp because he can't control himself...and then Rex and Sr. will:

Brad also had incurable foot problems like Bill Walton. Tim Duncan spoke highly of him when they faced off in college.
