Taking my son and son-in-law to the game tomorrow night, so I went on StubHub to get tickets just now. I was surprised that there was now capacity to put in a 'bid' price. I'd think that would be useful in clearing the market as you approach game time.

I'm an old fart and as you'd expect don't possess the swiftest computer skills. Is there a way to put in a 'bid' price and I just didn't realize it?

If you don't like the sellers prices on Stubhub, you're out of luck. But with $6 tickets on there at the moment, there's something for everyone at all price levels.

As a ticket buyer, I'd suggest starting with a ticket aggregator such as Seatgeek. When selling, Stubhub has its advantages (and disadvantages) - but as a buyer, I'd pass on stubhub. You should also check the Ticket marketplace on this board too.

There's a startup in LA called ScoreBig that has built up a lot of nice relationships directly with pro and college teams. Not all that well known, but I would recommend giving them a try if you're looking for the best price. They have a Hotwire/Priceline model.
