Spell our players' names correctly. I know it is petty, but getting that right is a sign of respect. If it is a typo, no big deal, but some of you butcher their names most of the time you post.

I sympathize with your rant, though I had not thought of it as a matter of respect for the player. Rather to me it has to do with respect for our version of the English language. Not infrequently, the garbling of spelling and and the misuse of language do not reflect well on a Cal or any other education...

Agreed. It's an embarrassment to all who post here when lazy threads start and a continued embarrassment each time someone responds and bumps the thread back up to the top. We should start a new thread to replace a misspelled thread.

Or maybe he just typo'd on the Y, the finger slipped off the key, and once it was in there, and new thread submitted, there was no going back and editing the thread title. No harm, no foul.

By the way, you are perhaps the nicest guy on this board, and your complaint about a spelling error is the only negative thing I can recall you writing, at least about any other poster.

Autocorrect happens .....

Unless you double check your posts/grammar/spelling (which I always try to do most of the time), many words can get autocorrected to something else .... especially people's names
