Classic. I just for the life of me do not get sports dads. Maybe that is because SCT has limited athletic skills. But given his mad math skills I am feeling pretty happy. I wouldn't presume to tell his future employers that he is what he is and they should get used to it. Be a pretty short interview ;-)

I can't wait to see how sonny boy (Bryce) fits into this scenario....

I hope it works out for lonzo because I want his youngest brother to go there so I can laugh at him while he jacks up half court air balls!

Actually, Lonzo might be one of the more unselfish players I've seen. The full court style of play is gimmicky, but it did work--mostly due to Lonzo. We'll see if they can do it next season without him.

He's a program changer. Special player. UCLA despite Alford will be good next year because of Ball.

Lonzo has an unusual shot from outside, he is really not a good shooter from outside but he can drive and rebound and lord can he pass the rock.....I still want to see what Alford does with sonny boy....it will determine how long he holds his job....

Special talent but won't change the program playing just one year. Along with TJ Leaf, he may save Alford's job though.

I heard of the Ball brothers but had never seen them play. Intrigued by the article I decided to check out a game (). I was underwhelmed. Lonzo is obviously good. He reminds me of Sean Livingston without the midrange game (that Livingston also did not have at that age) or the vision (Livingston always had that). He jumper is completely broken. Liangelo is a ball hog. That would be okay if he was actually good, but he is not. I don't think UCLA would have offered him if he was not Lonzo's brother. Lamelo is clever and has good instincts but is physically not there. Obviously he is young so that could change. I am surprised that they were not better coached on the mechanics of shooting. The article sort of misses that they take long shots, but that those shots are not even close. Of course this was just one game, but I don't think it will end well.

The most impressive player in the game to me was Ethan Thompson for Bishop Montgomery. I had never seen him play before, but I was impressed by his athleticism and his smarts. He is another of Stevie Thompson's sons, but his quality is closer to that of his father than his OSU brother. I guess Cal has been recruiting him but I don't know how that has been going. I hope they get him.
