Lost by 4 to Maryland in the 1st round of last year's NCAA Tournament.

Their top scorer, 6'9" forward Mike Daum, returns as a sophomore.



Their 2nd and 3rd leading scorers are gone. Our top 3 scorers are gone.

Should be a tough game.

Yeah-I looked up SDS last night and they were 26-8 last season. The Jackrabbits return their top player and their #4 & #5 scorers...They possess good height, too. Ivan Rabb had better come ready to rumble...

I could not find the Cal game listed on the Pac 12 Channel tonight at 7 pm on Comcast-San Jose (Ch 823). I was going to record it and watch the women's game on-line. The Pac 12 website states that it will be on Pac 12-Bay Area so go there if it's not locally televised...GO BEARS!

Should be interesting. They also lost their head coach, and they're fairly small--only 2 players over 6-7, start a lineup that goes 6-3, 6-2, 6-7, 6-7, 6-9, with no true post player. Good 3-point team last year, though.

Gotta be happy with Roger so far. Hard to tell given the level of comp but I love the D. We can actually now switch up top and not get a quick guy onto Ty.

The game isn't on PAC-12 Bay Area on SF Comcast. I tried the other PAC-12 channel, and they are showing UCLA/UOP. Oh well.

This is weird to not have an official thread. I am pleased with how they are playing without Rabb. Are there some holes? Yes, but Moute is a nice surprise. And I think we have a nice backcourt.

+1. We have a hard time against overplays without Rabb to force the issue low but I like the way the ball doesn't stick like it did a LOT last year.

Yup. And I love the D by both Centers. Stat sheet has 10 blocks.

You could see flashes with RMB last year too... there was just not enough available PT at the 2/3/4 last year...

Don looked a little shaky but everyone else pretty solid...key might be if Domingo can live up to his potential, and if Mullins can play adequate defense

felt so far so good on Mullins. We seem quicker on D than last year .....but might have been a jackrabbit thing.

Thought we did really well for our first game. Only disappointment to me was the amount of turnovers and Charlie Moore's shooting. Like the fact that he started, but based his high school credentials, I was expecting to see a better shooter. Hopefully, he will do better the more he plays. Go Bears.

I recently retired and moved to a rather remote area of a Blue State (Virginia). For a reasonable monthly charge SlingTV is allowing me to watch all the Pac12 regional feeds. Much better ball movement in this game. Mullins and Moore are fine additions to the team. A promising start

Frosh first game jitters. At least 2 of his threes were in and out. It will come.

We do need Rabb back by SDSU. Need that game for long-term RPI

Mullins' D was good this game...gotta keep it up in PAC competition tho...

Any concerns that Rabb's toe injury is more serious than it seems to be being portrayed. I know toe injuries are real tricky. I hope not - we need that guy to have body gaurfs surrounding him all day.

gaurfs gotta be gaurfin!

rabb was shagging balls for other players in pre-pre warm ups
looked like his foot was not bothering him at all
i think they just want to make sure he's 100% as they know he is the key to the season
