Not even one thread on tonight's game against UCI? All I know about them is that they stomped SDS by around 20 points a couple of nights ago. Did anyone watch the game? Comparing scores, it should be a close game without Rabb playing. If Rabb plays much at all, we should win comfortably. Hope there is a decent showing by our fans and students. :cheer

Cal is favored by 16. O/U is 138 points. Looks like Vegas is assuming that Rabb is playing tonight.

Rabb is "questionable" tonight per Cuonzo. That means he's not gonna play. Cuonzo will be conservative. No way they risk further injury right now.

We actually don't have a men's basketball team. That's my take at least from reading San Francisco's largest newspaper. No mention of the Bears playing tonight, and no mention of them over the weekend after Friday's game against SDSU.

Seriously speculation on something like this should not be stated as fact. Moraga said yesterday that he will probably remain questionable whether he will play or not for competitive reasons. He could be 100% healthy right now and know he is playing and still be listed as questionable.

Drawing reasonable conclusions on a fan board is fair game. Besides, although one understands the "competitive reasons", that doesn't mean one has to like them, or kowtow to their keepers.

That SDS is South Dakota State that we beat by 29 with no Rabb, and they lost to Utah State, while beating Sonoma State. I think we win comfortably with or without Rabb.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports game time decision via twitter around 3 p.m. PST. I ASSUME will not play but I would like him to....just to get the rust off before a pretty much "must win" against SDSU up in Sacto (must win for good RPI and good seeding. San Diego state is going to be a bit down this year so we don't need the RPI hit).

Not totally true; there was a report in the print Comical on Saturday. Minimal, but it was there (and FWIW better than the coverage of Furd's basketball team).

The report in the print Comical was from "Wire services", so no actual Comical coverage. I'm surprised that they couldn't send anyone out to the opening game at home. Seems to be a pretty thin operation these days.
