Guy working scoreboard told me he understood that refs didn't have view they showed on scoreboard in house.

It was so clear to us. I can't understand. Will watch on dvr later.

Nice to pull away at the end for the win, also hoping to see Coleman back soon.

Just watched on DVR. TV, and the Refs, didn't have/see the same angle shown on the video board, which clearly showed the ball last touch a WSU guy. They went over and asked Roxy & Montgomery if they had a different shot, Mike said no.

So the question is, if they can go over and ask the TV crew for a different shot, why couldn't they ask the video board folks the same thing, because obviously the video board did have a different/better angle?

Don says it's stiff but he'll be ready to go next game.
And he prefers Don to Dontae, though that's his name.

Okoroh says he's 6'11 3/4" barefoot, that Kam is a little taller.
Kam said he's 7'1"-7'2" barefoot and an inch taller.
Bird and Kingsley laughed at Kam's 7'2".

That's as close to settling it as we'll get.

Marcus says he can't wait for next year!

Cole told me about his maternal grandfather who went to Ohio state, then ucla for wooden where he played for a couple, then Cal but his eligibility ran out and he could only be a practice player.

Wow!
But fortunately Sam was able to make a game winning block, which he was very happy about.

That's a good question for the PAC Conference office!!! Someone should ask it!

Why is Singar in there with 48% foul shooting, and know to have a BF

He's the inbounder.

Who else on the bench might be better. You would have to try a walk on and hope for Ryan Forehan-Kelly II

RMB is over 80% with about the same sample size as Singer. Not sure you want him to close out his first game in that situation though.

It's simple: when the game is on the line, and they are going to foul us,
get the ball to Moore, Moore, Moore.

The video I saw was obvious

Me too. The video shown on the jumbotron was about as clear as can be. The ball clearly went out off the WSU player's leg. The refs blew it.

It's not the refs fault that the crucial video was not available to them

Off back of Elbow. And upper leg/hip.

even thought the TV didn't clearly show the ball hitting off the WSU player - it was clear to me that the ball changed direction and so MUST have hit the WSU player.

the play happened right in front of me, and it was clear to everyone in the area that the ball went off the WSU player
Grant, who had even a closer view also saw it go off the WSU player
the video board clearly showed it went off the WSU player
we were wondering why the refs were taking such a long time reviewing it because it was so clear

I don't blame the refs on this one, as apparently their video was from a different angle, unless they could have used the board video (not sure if they can)

bottom line is we won the game, but if we lost because of that call it would have been very tough to take

All this talk about not blaming the refs for the call is turning my stomach....THEY MADE THE DAMN CALL IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! I blame them for missing it the first time...it was so obvious for all to see in real time that the first call was terrible...they should have got it right the first time....

You can blame the refs all you want, but mistakes will be made by refs, even the best NBA refs.

Would you like to be a ref? My brief stint convinced me never to do it again!

Go Bears!

There are 3 of them on the floor and at least 2 had a shot at getting that particular call correct...If I wanted to be a ref, I would be a ref...they chose to be refs...they have to take the criticism....
HoopDreams
How long do you want to ignore this user?
it was the baseline refs call, and he was behind the players so he didn't have a clear view.
after the call, I immediately looked at where the other refs were and none had a better view (both were farther).
refs move to certain places on the floor to get the best coverage of the entire court, but sometimes no ref has a clear view.
some out of bounds calls are really hard to call, as they are so unexpected.

i've been very critical of the refs at times, mostly for calling tacky tack calls that have no impact on play one direction, and then not calling someone getting assaulted on another play, so I have no issue complaining about refs

Obviously I don't have a problem bitchin about the refs...I don't know if they had a clear view or not but they certainly made the call immediately, as if they saw it clearly...oh well...water under the bridge...but I'm still wondering what happened to the refs that made that terrible call at the end of the UVA game (shot clock violation when the players could only see that the shot clock showed 9 secs)..now that crew needed to be reprimanded and maybe skip a few assignments too...that call very well could have cost us that game...and, just to be clear, these guys are being paid around $1200 per game (pretty good hourly wage) so they should be good....

The in bound after the time out was strange.

It was actually Charlie Moore who in bounded the ball. And singer was in the game, but they just had him streak down towards the other basket.

So the other three were rabb, Mullins and bird. I'm pretty sure I understand what cuonzo was thinking. On the previous in bounds, they had trouble getting the ball in. So the plan was to in bounds to rabb (bigger target, easier to inbounds to) and then he was going to quickly pass the ball back to Moore (who was in bounding the ball)

Unfortunately, rabb gets fouled before he could pass it back to Moore.

I think this was an Ill conceived plan. It shouldn't be this hard to draw up a play to get the ball to your best free throw shooter. When Monty was coach, randle took every single end of game ft. Almost every single one. Monty was a master at drawing up in bounds plays. Cuonzo should ask him for advice. In bounding to rabb almost cost us the game.
