Nice spotlight on Ivan and his improvement on Pac12 Hoops Report just now.
They highlighted plays, froze the tape, and pointed out what he's doing and thinking in various situations.
O'Neill is still surprised that Rabb didn't go pro last year, but nonetheless, "he's getting more touches, improving his game, becoming more versatile." He said pro scouts have to really like that.
O'Neill went out of his way, twice, to credit Rabb's coach for developing Rabb!
Nice.

Give Kevin a cocktail (or several) and he'll tell you the secret to the universe...

I'll put an olive (branch) in it and call it a martini.

Pac-12 network has terrible analysts now. Neuheisal and Leinart were good in football and have moved on to better gigs and Ernie Kent was a good hoops analyst now coaching. O'Neil and the other guy for hoops are unbearable.

I agree cocoon. Talent seems to get plucked by other networks.

Yup. Probably the worst pay. They need to work hard to keep finding talent to bring in. No worries - Kent will be avaliable next year.

I really like Monty and I am not sure why they can't get him. Yesterday was great understanding the half time adjustment of bringing Kings/rooks from the double low to the high elbow and how that opens up things for Ivan on the double.

Played, watched, and loved BB for years. It is always interesting to me the listen to MM and all the things I thought I was seeing just weren't so, or what I was just plain missing. He really does a great job of breaking it down as coach/announcer.

Too bad that can't be said for Singer, Domingo, and to some degree Bird, who have either slid or remained pretty much the same the same in their tenure. Watching Mathews dropping threes last night vs the Gaels, made me lust again at how big a loss is was for the Bears. He is shooting 43% on threes and while Bird is at 32% when you add Bides, Coleman, and Dimingo, you bring the wing position down to 28%.

FWIW, Mathews drops about a half of a three more threes than Mullins (44%) per game.
