I was reviewing Utah's schedule and was not surprise to see that the lost to Butler and Xavier in pre-season but shocked to see that the lost to the University of San Francisco Don. I guess that they were missing some key players in that game. Cal is gong to have to play their best game of the season to beat the Utes on this upcoming home stand.:gobears:

They're up to #35 on KenPom. To those who rail against "margin of victory", the more efficient and dominant team is usually the better team. Right now, Utah's rolling. When you blow out teams on their home court, you're playing really well. Should be very interesting to see how they do against Oregon, which is playing as well as any team in the country right now.

Utah has been playing better than Cal for weeks now so Cal will have to pick it up quickly to battle for 4th.

agree
it's going to be especially tough to beat them in Utah with the altitude

We got three in a row at home, all which we absolutely must have to get to the Dance.

If Utah keeps doing what they're doing, they should easily break into the RPI top 50. Thus, if the Bears can beat them at Haas, it would be one more precious "quality win" on our resume.

If we can win the next three, we would be at 8-3. We would be in good shape to get to a good in-conference record after that during our remaining games. 12-6 is not out of the realm of possibility (losses to Oregon, @AZ and @Utah), but we have to play better. These next three home games are must wins.
