Arizona State Tops Cal

Coleman, Sueing Score In Double Figures In Defeat 

 TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Two Golden Bears scored in double figures, but Arizona State pulled away early in the second half to top California 84-53 Thursday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

Arizona State (20-9, 8-9 Pac-12) gradually built at 10-point lead in the first half, then ran away from the Bears in the second with a series of dunks and layups to end a three-game losing streak.

crazy that we have neglected for so many years recruiting guys who can shoot the three and play defense---it is not like they are that hard to find.

Can I play? If I'm the new AD, I let Jones have another year to prove what he has with whatever recruits he can bring to the table, and engage donors with an action plan, that says absent a satisfactory improvement here is where we go (who we want as coach, what we want this program to be, what we do with facilities, and how we will fund this, etc.). So I'm very Cal unlike and ready to move if Jones doesn't work out. Hopefully none of this planing comes to fruition, because Jones turns the program around. But unlike the last several AD's, I'm prepared if that doesn't happen to act quickly.

Cut it out, Wife! You're being way to sensible. CB80 is going to go on this rant weekly for the next year. It may very well turn out that WJ is a terrible coach, but I submit that it is impossible to know for certain YET. Let's see what happens with his recruits. I assume CB80 knows that Larry Krystowiak at Utah is a TERRIBLE coach. After all, he went 6-25 in his first season. The fact that he as had 4 consecutive 20+-win seasons is irrelevant.

Not at all. You can be a fan and be negative. You can be a fan and be a troll. You can be positive and critical. You can walk outside in your underwear for all I care.

But when you make personal attacks and repeatedly (and annoyingly) start inflammatory posts or suggest that another poster conduct an impossible physical act upon themselves - then you are troll.
