That was horrific. Hope he's ok.
thank goodness he looks like he'll be OK. walked off the court under his own power. Could have been a lot worse.
This incident caused me to research. I don't believe any NBA player has broken his neck in a game (unlike the NFL). Rudy T. may have come the closest to dying when Kermit Washington broke every bone in his face.

I first found out about Jaylen from the sometimes tabloid headlines of Comcast/Xfinity.In this case
it right now is showing "Celtics dealt another gruesome injury". That sucks. Sound's like
Jaylen may be OK. We'll have to wait a few days though. At least, Wiggins just seems to make
a hallf-hearted attempt to stick his hand in there.

I think Jaylen is my favorite NBA player.
I also think he traveled on this play.
I'm really glad to hear it sounds like he will be okay.
My wife is from RI so all her family are Boston fans, of course.
I've been able to root for the Patriots after 25 years, and am only just now able to root for the Celtics over the Lakers (being a cali kid myself). It's because of Jaylen Brown.

I'm surprised there aren't more injuries considering there is often one or more defenders and sometimes there is a hard foul
With a lesser risk the player also has to land safely. Again often in a crowded space
Even without all the defenders fouling, etc, simplying dunking the ball with the hard rim, being off balanced , etc has its hazards. Even LeBron hurts his hand on the rim multiple times

In real time, even knowing what was coming, I had to immediately look away. God that was scary.
I agree, HD, and I have twisted my ankles so many times that it gives me the shivers to even think about landing on them wrong again. I'll see 4-5 guys pogo-sticking for a rebound or some such action and I have to wince. How is it they are not landing on each other's feet and destroying themselves?
What will Jaylen elect to pursue after his pro basketball career is over?
both of those cal superstars are very impressive people (and good basketball players)
