Hello fellow Cal Fans from Dhaka, Bangladesh and a big Go Bears to all of you!

I just checked the BI Forum and I see a few "friends" "missed" me (ok, ok, that is not how they said it)! Well, the celebration is over as I am posting now!!

Sorry, I have been travelling (again) and not keeping up with the BI Forum for a few days.

After a 10 country November, the last four days have been SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Guangzhou (China) and just a few hours ago, Dhaka. Bangladesh (where tomorrow is National Martyr Day and Sunday is National Victory Day).

Friends, it is hard to post to BI during a 14 hour flight over Pacific and then racing through airports to catch the next flight!

A fair question would be why would any American go as a tourist to Dhaka (it is my very first time here). Well, that is a discussion for another day, but, let's just say a country with population larger than the population of Russia and Canada combined deserves a visit.

Well, I was not the only Cal fan in Dhaka after all.

I met a fellow Golden Bear in the Dhaka airport yesterday. He was proudly wearing a Blue and Gold "BERKELEY" T-shirt. Unlike me, he is from Bangladesh and studied IT at Cal. Yes, he now works in a start-up in the Bay Area!

I have met Cal fans in the strangest places (Kathmandu, Serengeti, Antartica, Aushowitz). We are everywhere!!

P.S. People in Bangladesh have given me one of the warmest reception of any of the 127 countries that I have visited. Folks, country's economy maybe poor, but, it's people are very rich in heart!
