Why did we just waste 10 seconds of game clock before fouling?

This was just stupid - I don't have it in me to stick around and watch this program try and recover.

Ironically, same score, except reversed, when Cal finally beat ucla after how many times in a row? 53 ? Damn. They should have put this away.

If wyking isn't fired by the end of the season, it's not fair to these kids.

It's clear they are trying their best, but their coach is absolutely failing them. And it's just not right.

That was the worst I've ever seen a UCLA team play. They were awful. Awful. And cal still cannot win (not because of a lack of effort) but just because they can't execute basic fundamentals.

Fucla is not good and we are obviously terrible .... but seriously, how can the refs only call stuff against Cal

They had no excuse for this loss. You put that effort out there. UCLA is sleepwalking...and you still just bumble away layups and rush shots and lose AGAIN???!!! There is no credit for choking that one away.

You saw lack of coaching twice. First, when it was CLEAR that Singleton is going to shoot and they lose him. That is where the coach HAS to make sure they know to get on him. Second, the play that they failed to secure the rebound and no one is trying to block out brown - just flailing.

A critical thing is that you HAVE to go back and teach fundamentals to these kids because in HS they WERE the man - often simply being a far superior athlete. They don't play defense in AAU. So you gotta teach....and it just isn't clear on the court that this is going on.

I guess about 2 more months of the nightmare. I hate to think about if he is brought back.

I was driving to pick up my kid from ballet and heard Todd McKinnon the radio.
Oh, wow, a cal basketball game. And we had a 9 point lead over ucla? No way!

But we lost. Oh well....

The worst part about it wasn't the final score. It's the play by play man with Todd. Oh, my, God. He is the worst!!!
Please. Fire him before you fire Wyking!

Usc is much better than Ucla. Wsu with Franks is very good. Who do we have a chance of beating??

I've been posting when I feel I have something to add that others haven't so there aren't many of my opinions that are original...I posted earlier today that Jones should be unemployed on Mar 14th....nothing new there.... what do you want CT....(Oh and BTW, I don't see you posting 25 to 30 times a day anymore either)

Not the Arizona schools, Washington will want to run us over to make a point to the NCAA selection committee, Washington State manhandled us in Pullman, then if we go into Palo Alto still with a zero in the conference win column they will want to smash us, and as of right now we may be facing Oregon, Utah or one of the LA schools in Vegas. Fun **** right?

I wish I could unread this.....but it has my vote for best in game comment.

Moses Brown is the worst free throw shooter I've ever seen in college ball. He was 2 for 9 tonight, and his misses were really ugly.

Nobody. I'm afraid we're headed for 0-19 in conference.

Back from the game. I've been to close to 500 Cal Basketball games and this might've been the most exasperating one ever. (Ah, there must've been others; I shoulda kept a journal.)

I started to get "that sick feeling" midway through the first half, when we should've been up by 15-20, instead of seven. To anybody who says we need to worry about our defense and not our offense, you need to stop. We are worse defensively, sure, but we are equally INEPT on offense.

When your 1-3 starters are Austin, McNeill and Harris-Dyson, you got a problem. Two of the three can't shoot and none of those three can play winning, offensive basketball. How many assists did those three combine for tonight? 2-3? Good God...

So many weird, bizarre moments this evening. For much of the game, the Bruins looked even crappier than we did. Could it possibly be that we might win? Despite the current apathy surrounding the program, I really, REALLY wanted us to get a win tonight. However, I never felt too confident that it would happen...

And sure enough. Woe is us. The players played hard (even the ones I'm critical of). I'd like to see 'em get a win or two. I feel lousy. My six yr old daughter stayed up till I got home... said she missed me (it had been 3 1/2 hours). That helped.

Writing this post has been cathartic. Go Bears.

Came to see if we fired WJ after the game. Doesn't look like it. AD starting to screw this up

Is there anybody out there besides me willing to state the obvious about Dyson now?

Just watched the PAC 12 Network replay. Ugh. Going to shovel some snow as punishment

he's not the only kid that has tried to do stuff beyond his purview at cal. Sometimes the kid figures it out himself. Sometimes the coach sits him when he screws up. We seem to need a third option.

Agreed. However, he's not being used properly in both our offensive and defensive schemes. Too long to get into now...still recovering from last night.

Glad to see you guys still here, bearmanpg.
I miss the old names, and have been absent myself.
I wasn't making any comment negative about you or anyone else.

Been moping around in the rain, not paying attention to my client and just feel so empty after last nights loss. Can you imagine how our players feel enduring this pain week after week.
Our kids have GRIT....and may God bless and guide them.
