I am in. The endorsements from Sam, Christian B. and Therminator ring huge. Those are the kind of kids we will build as the FOUNDATION pieces for a solid cal program with, one hopes, 4stars from time to time on top to be the stat sheet stuffers.

Lets just get this done.

Colm is obviously a legend (and that will be his song forever) but I actually prefer Alfie boe's version.

It was a crime when the movie role went to Hugh Jackman and not boe.

I'm in. He could have missed a step taking over Montana, but now with his own guys there, they're a tourney regular. I think he's ready for more.

Honestly - this seems like a step down at this point. With how badly the administration is trying to save money, why would he come here when he has already proven that he is already ready to step over the former stepping stone program known as cal?

I think we are going to go with some division 2 coach or other random shot in the dark hire.
Give to Cal Legends!

https://calegends.com/donation/ Do it now. Text every Cal fan you know, give them the link, tell them how much you gave, and ask them to text every Cal fan they know and do the same.

Susan Boyle ruined it for me, you can call it overexposure. Ruthie Henshall's Fantaine, 10th Anniversary Dream Cast Concert.

I think it is obvious that I'm in.....right man for the job....Possibly a guy who would stay here for years if treated decently by the administration.....Will make Cal formidable again within 3 years......Mark my words.....

I agree. The 10th Anniversary DVD is going for $70 used on Amazon. I can't believe it has not been re-released.

I thought Travis the right man for the job the first time around. Still do. Hope he is still receptive

Philip Quast as Javert singing "Stars" is still one of the greatest of all time. It is absolutely chilling.

Of all the musicals I have seen, Les Miz ranks #1.

Only on BI can we have a thread both about our hopeful future coach and Les Mis. ;-)

Lea salonga's "on my own" from the 10th anniversary is also the best version ever.

But im a Disney person, so I'm biased towards her

To keep this on b-ball, if the choice is between turner and decuire (realistically those are probably our finalists) then I prefer decuire by a wide wide margin.

For a moment there, I thought you were all talking about Les Miles. And I was wondering why in the world you guys were talking about him on the basketball board. Figured this Javert bloke was some new recruit. Turns out you were just dishing about broadway musicals which is totally fair game and a legit conversation topic. Carry on.

Count me in. I don't care if DeCuire can sing.

The Cure can still sing. Robert Smith is awesome.

The cure is one of my favorite bands of all time.

But even I'll admit Robert Smith is an infinitely better songwriter than singer

Singer could barely carry a tune. Weak jumper, too, but he could pass, defend and occasionally take it to the hoop.

I was good with taking a chance on DeCuire as his first HC gig but was overjoyed we got an experienced coach coming off a Sweet 16. I am all for DeCuire unless Kidd really wants the job.

Add me to the list. So far, there are only two candidates mentioned that have shown evidence that they like Cal: DeCuire (interviewed twice ) and Kidd (donated $$$$). I think Monty and Jones liked Cal as well - Cuonzo didn't.

Liking Cal has to be on the reason to hire checklist.

Hire Travis, I'm in love!

Disintegration tour, Dodger Stadium '89, was my first rock concert.

The Cure were here in Hawaii in 2013 and 2016, and they rocked. 2.5 hour set played all the good stuff. However, my favorite Cure song is "A Letter to Elise" and they did not perform it either time. Robert Smith still belts it out well. They are so prolific and underrated as a really accomplished band.
