What's happening there is what Cal should be. There should be a buzz, excitement, and a flurry of guys wanting to be here. Not a mass exodus, uncertainty and a general feeling of meh.
Should have done whatever it took to keep Grace. You already had built in work set up for Cal. All lost (except for Joel Brown) and he may take Vanover with him.parentswerebears said:

Agree 100%, but the only person that even MIGHT have come here and provided that would've been Jason Kidd.parentswerebears said:

What practice facility? Is that Is that being discussed on the premium? I'll believe that there will be one when I hear it from Cal. Until it's actually in the works, then no one should bother with Cal basketball unless they want to see a lot of losses.Big C said:parentswerebears said:

Our best bet now is to have Fox stabilize things and maybe even surprise us just a bit, while we get the practice facility going.

They hired Stackhouse a week after we hired Fox and are paying him less? And recruits are flocking there? Whereas Fox gets a pass and credit just for any players he can keep. Just great.
They also took our best recruiter, who built up a lot of connections in the one year he was here now completely wasted (exception is Joel Brown) and may be taking our best returning player in Vanover. Oh and Vandy has high academic standards. I guess it can be done.calumnus said:parentswerebears said:

I'm sure people will be up in arms over this, and no it doesn't make me want to buy season tickets. But I will give the props for at least being honest. It's been a dark 2-3 years for Cal basketball.oskidunker said:

Coach Fox and Cal appreciate your support.oskidunker said:
Some that did not go last year will go now. I only went to three conference games last year. This year I will give the new coach a pass and will attend every game.
Plus there are about 3000 that go no matter what. Attendance will improve. We also need some creative marketing which means free food for students and some perks for season ticket holders. Maybe $10 food credit for new season ticket holders attending conference games. Sone appreciation should also be shown for those that attended last year.
Yes, but I doubt it happens.oskidunker said:
