Should have done whatever it took to keep Grace. You already had built in work set up for Cal. All lost (except for Joel Brown) and he may take Vanover with him.

Agree 100%, but the only person that even MIGHT have come here and provided that would've been Jason Kidd.

Our best bet now is to have Fox stabilize things and maybe even surprise us just a bit, while we get the practice facility going. Then, if Fox hasn't surprised us enough, we buy ourselves someone who can.

On the college basketball landscape right now, we are what our situation tells us we are.

We were just in Nashville the last weekend in April, we did the Nashville 1/2 marathon. Toured around the city, including the Vanderbilt bookstore. Was surprised to see a young man wearing Golden Bears gear. (Hat & T-shirt). Gave him a 'Go Bears!', but did not get much of a response. Not sure if he played ball for Cal, he was about my height 6'1". Orender, maybe? Or just coincidence?

What practice facility? Is that Is that being discussed on the premium? I'll believe that there will be one when I hear it from Cal. Until it's actually in the works, then no one should bother with Cal basketball unless they want to see a lot of losses.

There is nothing official going on regarding the practice facility, but some folks say we might be getting closer to the beginnings of something. No news yet, though, not even close.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? Because if we get a great practice facility built in 2035, one could argue that "we are getting closer to getting the new practice facility built".

Seriously. How do we get anybody here? It is so obvious that no one gives a **** about basketball.

They also took our best recruiter, who built up a lot of connections in the one year he was here now completely wasted (exception is Joel Brown) and may be taking our best returning player in Vanover. Oh and Vandy has high academic standards. I guess it can be done.

I'm sure people will be up in arms over this, and no it doesn't make me want to buy season tickets. But I will give the props for at least being honest. It's been a dark 2-3 years for Cal basketball.

Some that did not go last year will go now. I only went to three conference games last year. This year I will give the new coach a pass and will attend every game.

Plus there are about 3000 that go no matter what. Attendance will improve. We also need some creative marketing which means free food for students and some perks for season ticket holders. Maybe $10 food credit for new season ticket holders attending conference games. Sone appreciation should also be shown for those that attended last year.

Yes, but I doubt it happens.

I will attend some games to support Cal MBB and Coach Fox.

For the first time ever, I did not attend a single Cal MBB game (home or road) for the last two years to show my extreme dismay in Mike Williams choice of Head Coach.

I am back supporting Cal MBB and have already made a donation specifically to Cal MBB.
