I won't disregard this, and thanks a lot for posting it. McGruder was one of my all-time favorites as well. He played point guard the way it was supposed to be played, as a passing guard and a very tough defender.

His 1996-97 team went to the Sweet 16, and during the season they had the 2nd highest strength of schedule in Cal history, 10.03. They played TEN top 25 teams, and had a 6-4 record against them.

For the season, McGruder averaged 4 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2 steals. In the NCAA tournament in 3 games, McGruder had a total of 6 rebounds, 20 assists, and 9 steals.

I'm glad he was still playing in 2009, livin' the dream.
