(Don't bother with the unrelated imbedded video: Just Stephen A being loud about superstars as usual.)

"But Marks wanted change, to put his artistic imprint on the franchise he has helped reinvent, and he had a radical idea: a gray floor meant to evoke blacktop courts, the streets of Brooklyn, and the borough's "industrial vibe," he says. Gray has been on the fringes of the team's Brooklyn-era palette, including on the alternate Brooklyn Dodgers-themed uniforms they wore in past seasons."
It's all just entertainment, so find a way to enjoy it.
The refs are there to feed your hatred addiction and keep the games close.

Not that I ever previously thought about the Brooklyn Nets, much less their floor, I will say that I like this faux tile wording from 2 years ago, which they jettisoned last year to an admitted mistake by bringing back the tiles going all the way around the court this upcoming season.

Comparing the two efforts to replicate the Subway Tiling, 2 years ago version was better, IMHO!
