My observation from the game is that despite the beat down, I am hopeful. They did not dominate us physically. We will only get better. There were a lot of poor shots and mental lapses. It's a really young team that I see competing for a Pac 12 crown in two years with the right pieces added

I agree, and most disagree with my assessment above, but I think this was a bit early in the curve to schedule #1 in the Garden, then lose by 35. All will be fine. Really like what Mark Fox is doing with the team, and with recruiting we will only get better.

Right. What I'm saying is they're not actually a top-25 team based on what I've seen. They might be at some point this season, but an undefeated record and a name-brand school put them in the top-25. KenPom now has them in the lower-40s and I think that's more accurate at this point.

As the radio guys said, for some of our players, one of their biggest basketball highlights ever in their lives -- what they'll be telling their grandkids -- will be about the time they played against #1 Duke in Madison Square Garden. You can't always have the opportunity fall exactly where you want.

what's nice, even though texas will drop out of the top 25 after this weekend, is that if we beat them, it still counts as a win against a top25 team in a neutral site. i like that.
