Something to watch. Many schools lost a lot of money with the cancelation of conference and NCAA tournaments.

They couldn't wait a month or two so Coaches could pay their bills?

Hopefully Cal doesn't do this. I would rather see minor sports put on hold. Leave football and basketball alone! Tiddly Winks, maybe.

I agree it does seem a bit reactive and early.

But I also think there will be more of this as more athletics departments take closer looks at their budgets. If the football season gets impacted by COVID-19, it's really going to mess things up financially for pretty much every major university.
