Great post SFCity. This is a fun discussion.

But speaking of #44 you have to put Leon Power ahead of Leonard Taylor. I enjoyed watching them both but Leonard was a nice college player int he day but Leon would have been a superstar had not his knee problems derailed him....

Don't see Ayinde Ubaka #1 or RIchard Midgely (unsure of #)

Edited Oops see Richard Midgely already listed #15
I didn't have Ubaka on my original list, because all I could remember was how he put me to sleep with all his dribbling around in circles on the perimeter. But I think he was the best free throw shooter in the clutch that I've ever seen at Cal. In a tight game in the final minute, I can't remember him ever missing a free throw. He had ice in his veins. And his overall game improved year to year, so I agree. He belongs on the list.
I think Suzy's kid was the best free throw shooter in the clutch. I guess the transfer worked out for him, sort of. But, I doubt we will ever see him walk the sidelines for Cal. His only visit will be as coach of a visitor's team. Plus DeCuire owns him!
Ya got me here, NC. I've racked my fading memory, but can't figure out who Suzy's kid is. The one Cal player as good or better than Ubaka making free throws in the clutch that I can come up with is Jerome Randle,
Shantay Legans. During Legans' last year - and even after he transferred - there was a poster whom people suspected of being Legans' mother and she was referred to as Suzy or Susan. I have no idea what Shantay's mother's name really was. it could have been Susan.

Legans never missed a 3 pointer in the last 2 minutes.....of a game that was over at the 10 minutes left mark.

Beaucoup Congrats to Shantay and to his mom.

Ye gads, a hint of the ghost of Shocky in the post, with the exquisite golf course pics. Very nice.

Fun list, thanks for posting. I think Richard Solomon wore number 35, not 3. He overlapped a couple of years with Ty Wallace

Ultimately was WCC player of the year at USF, but for 3 years prior at Cal wore #54. Kenyon Jones RIP

I found game photos of him wearing #3, and also game photos of him wearing #35, so apparently he wore both, so I revised the list to show both. Thanks.

He worked at my firm one summer. He was very kind to my young children. He was an impressive young man. I was very saddened when I heard of his passing.
