Yeah - that is going to be tough. San Diego's economy has massively changed over the 30 years I have lived here BUT a huge number of people (if not GDP) is tied to tourism. It is going to be AWFUL for the next 12 months. We talk a lot on this board about whether the football season fires but what about the beach? Might work for locals surfing (an no, I did NOT go to the protest in Encinitas this week) but I have no idea how you make it work during the summer. And yet it is almost unthinkable to imagine San DIego in the summer WITHOUT the beach.

And of course I doubt BB season as we know it fires. Maybe conference only after January if we hit the boggie for a vaccine by then. Otherwise....oiy.

We can't even make enough masks for people. I don't know how people think we are going to produce enough doses and get 300 million people vaccinated while the rest of the world is trying to do the same thing by January even if we discovered a vaccine tomorrow.

Ugh. I'm picturing half of Riverside County driving down here to hit the San Diego County beaches this summer. They'll be here by Memorial Day at the latest, and they'll all be six inches apart rather than six feet apart.
