Looks like Fox will also be on the hunt for a new S&C coach.

Jordan Jackson was a good Instagram follow. Seems like a good dude. Posted good content with team. Also, I think he lived in El Cerrito. He often posted workout pics/videos from Cerrito Vista Park where I spent a big chunk of my childhood. Good luck Jordan!

I thought the Theo fight was with Wyking. Can anyone fill in these details?

It's passed time for this story to be put to bed. Let the memory of the testosterone fueled event just fade away.

All the participants are now pursuing other opportunities far from California there is no valid reason to be reminded how inappropriate and embarrassing adults can act.

That was my understanding too based on hearsay info from a credible source. Theo is a smart guy that knows hoop. It had to be unBearable.

The reason I asked is because maybe Theo can one day return.

Theo's prospects have advanced a wee bit past Cal these days. My, have fortunes changed since the ruckus at the Maui Invitational....except for the part that the dude that helmed Cal to a record 16 losses in a row made more money at Cal than most Cal grads will make in their entire careers.

I dug fairly deeply (sort of) and was never able to find out who Theo "altercated" with. Wyking himself? Maybe, maybe not. An Assistant? Can neither confirm nor deny. This is the first I've heard that it might've been the S&C guy.

I suspect people might have assumed that it was Wyking based on...

a) that was never flat-out denied
b) the two of them obviously did not see eye-to-eye
c) no matter who it was, some responsibility for a problem like this almost HAS to fall on the HC, or at least go through him

here's the thing with Theo. Cal hoops alumni, Conference championship team, local player, great character and NBA coaching experience with west coast teams ...

AND he was a SHOOTING SKILLS COACH

Those are big selling points for any prospectus recruit, and huge for current players

Lot's of people can train shooting, but few coaches can do it at a high level, and most coaches don't spend one-on-one time doing it as most of practice time is training team scheme, sets and plays ... much less time is spent on skills such as shooting, ball handling, etc

Actually, I'm a grown adult, I'd like to hear the details, and I don't particularly like people who try to censor others on message boards.

I though that disaster came from Houston (or was it that he went back to Houston). Regardless, Cal fans will never forgive him for losing Bruce Snyder to ASU along with losing the amazing recruiting class that Snyder was poised to bring in.

No! It is still very relevant because you and I (as donors to the Cal Athletics and tax payers in the State of California) are still paying $1,000,000 a year for Mike Williams' mistake.

You and I are still paying $1,000,000 a year to the Guy That Mike Williams Hired As MBB "coach" because Mike Williams had given him a five year $1,000,000 a year contact. When he was fired after two disastrous seasons in March 2019, he still had three years of $1,000,000 each owed to him. $5,000,000 is an amazing payday for a guy who had never been a head coach or even a second in command of any basketball team at any level (major college, mid-majors, junior college or even high school).

What was Mike Williams thinking?

Go Bears!

P.S. Remember, Mike Williams, for half of that price, could have hired Coach Travis DeCuire, a highly successful head basketball coach at the University of Montana and Coach Mike Montgomery's right hand man for many years a Cal.
