Since I missed out on the fun during its heyday but have read about it on this forum, when I saw this ESPN article (https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29880599/sacramento-kings-interview-denver-nuggets-calvin-booth-gm-opening), I knew exactly what to do.

I wonder if he went to Cal.

What I have never been able to understand is how or why Booth, who died in 1865, had a "Cal" tattoo on his upper right arm, when the University of California was established in 1868, a full three years after his death?
