Made it into the top 4 for this 4-star prospect. Hoping we can get Marsalis and him for this recruiting cycle, after striking out on a few other guys

Rivals fans seem to think Arizona is a lock. 247 site says he is originally from Goodyear, Arizona, so he may have some family there and may have grown up watching AZ games. But Cal is still in the mix, so hope springs eternal, as the saying goes.
I see Arizona currently has 4 freshmen forwards (all European), 2 freshmen guard/forwards (6-6 and 6-7), and redshirt soph forward Jordan Brown. So many young forwards might be a disincentive.Golden One said:
He'll go to Arizona.
Brown is a redshirt sophomore...Intuit said:
After DaRon Holmes evaluates the stacked Arizona roster it is possible he will decide that Arizona is not the choice he wants to make. California may be his choice.
Arizona is stuffed with a remarkable International recruiting bounty. They loaded up with a total of 7 International players. Six of which are rated as extraordinary elite talents ranging from 6'7 to 7'0" tall.
Arizona's Verbal Commits page http://verbalcommits.com/schools/arizona
lists each of these Arizona International players The first 6 are in their 1st year of eligibility in Tucson.
Jordan Brown is a RS Freshman, Chrisitian Koloko is a sophomore.
Kerr Krisa Estonia 6'2" 165 PG,
Bennedict Mathurin Canada 6'6" 195 SG,
Tautvilis Tubelis Lithiuania 6'7 210 SF,
Tibet Gorener Turkey 6'8" 220 PF,
Daniel Batcho France 6'10" 240 PF/C,
Azuolas Tubelis Lithiuania 6'10 240 PF
Jordan Brown Sacramento 6'11" PF
Christian Koloko Cameroon 7'0" C
I eagerly await the modern foreign film version of "Blue Chips", based on the recent manipulations of young minds by Sean Miller, hopefully with English subtitles. I particularly enjoyed the games Arizona had with Cal in 2013 and 2014, where Cal and Mike Montgomery had 2 wins and one loss vs Miller and absolutely loaded Arizona rosters.Intuit said:
Corralling a list of elite International talent in one recruiting class is obviously very noteworthy. Particularly when accomplished by a program with a controversial if not tarnished recruiting record.
Is the NCAA is taking note.
It begs the question how the hell did Arizona get all these exceptional all star international players to commit this year? Note that both Daniel Batcho France 6'10" 240 PF/C and Azuolas Tubelis Lithiuania 6'10 240 PF turned down professional contracts to sign with Arizona. The Arizona's inducements must have been viewed as more rewarding then the alternative of staying in Europe and signing a large professional contract.
Someone at Arizona has figured out how to make these offers more valuable than the multiple year professional contract. The cumulative Arizona financial inducements have easily traveled over all the international borders.
These players have been counselled to accept a reduced near-term cash flow in favor of a projected higher pay off. Who pays the insurance to guarantee the intended result occurs? Does Arizona, a booster affiliate or a agent pick up this bill for a piece of their future professional contract or earnings?
Well the rest of the Pac-12 can take solace in the fact they didn't break any recruiting rules.
Hell, he is one of the ones doing the tainting. Why is this guy still coaching? What Todd Bozeman did was penny ante compared to what Sean Miller has been doing for a long time.ncbears said:
Maybe Miller has to go international because US sources are tainted?
What I inartfully meant was that US sources are shying away from Miller because a player could end up ineligible due to taint by Miller (or others feeding Arizona) - the international commits may have less worry as they can return to their home countries to play.SFCityBear said:Hell, he is one of the ones doing the tainting. I misunderstood your point. Thanks for clarifying.ncbears said:What I inartfully meant was that US sources are shying away from Miller because a player could end up ineligible due to taint by Miller (or others feeding Arizona) - the international commits may have less worry as they can return to their home countries to play.SFCityBear said:Hell, he is one of the ones doing the tainting.
