I'm looking at my Comcast guide (Oakland) to DVR the game on TruTvHD 748 (will watch it at a bar) and the time period from 6pm to 8:30pm has half hour blocks of "To Be Announced" where the Cal game should be. The previous game is listed, and the 8:30 "Inside March Madness" show is listed, but the Cal game is not shown as a game on the cable guide. Any one else experiencing this?

What does proximity to campus have to do with watching the NCAA Tournament?

If watching Cal sports is important enough to you, you can watch the game (and all other tournament games) for $3.99 online. Or you can upgrade your cable package. Or you can go to a bar.

Per the Comcast website, TruTV is available on the "Digital Starter" package.

I called Comcast and TruTV was removed from the Starter Package in my area a month ago. Need to upgrade to watch the game. Pathetic to not have standard access in local markets to the biggest Cal basketball game of the year.

That explains it, I knew I always got this channel in the past. What a coincidence, they drop it a month before the tournament. Other than games, why would anyone pay extra for TruTV.? I already pay about $95/ month, which includes the sports tier, but I can't watch the game....total BS.

My suggestion is that you call Comcast and threaten to move to DirecTV over this. See what you can get out of them.

I'm in the same situation you are. I pay $95 per month for the HD/DVR package; called Comcast and it would cost me another $9 per month to get TruTV. Screw 'em.

Someone will have the game on the interwebs.

I just turned on the tv to catch the game. Honestly I didn't even get upset when I found out it is not available; I just laughed.

This is the first year since 1991 that I won't be following the NCAA tournament. East coast bias is absolutely ridiculous. It sucks that we can't watch Pac 12 teams compete for the championship because we ask our students to go to class.
