One of these days someone really famous (Young, healthy, beloved) and involved in questionable (Covid) activity is going to die and make everyone else stop and think.

That day has already happened for many. A friend's sister died from SARS-CoV-2 a couple weeks ago. In her 40's. Her children were unable to be with her - tragic. She was young healthy and beloved but not famous - so maybe she doesn't count enough for you.

Kind of sad IMHO that celebrity is relevant in these situations.

Actually, that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. It's tragic and I'm very sad to hear about it.

My wife has cousins in S. Dakota who rail on masks, just like my cousin in TX, who says the stats are all manipulated. I feel like I want to hit them upside the head to wake up, and I guess I'm saying "famous" because then maybe 1 person's death will hit home for them in a way that 250,000 doesn't.

I'd be glad to read about your friend's sister's case, presuming there's a write-up about it and you're comfortable enough to share as a PSA/warning.

Thank you. I'm really sorry to hear that. The nation needs to hear these stories, and not the deniers in charge (for the next 60 days).
