The Lakers are a sizable favorite to repeat, so it makes sense they'll get the most TV exposure.

Yep, the Warriors had a lot of National games, too, during their elite title runs, particularly when KD was playing w Steph, Klay and Draymond.

The Lakers also have the largest fanbase of any team, at least according the Facebook.

Defending NBA champions and have the league's biggest star, LeBron James, as their centerpiece. Also have a national following built on being the league's most successful franchise.

Since 1980, the Lakers have won 11 titles with four different core groups... 5 for the Showtime Lakers of Magic/Kareem/Worthy, 3 titles for the Shaq/Kobe crew, 2 more with Kobe/Gasol and finally a title with LeBron/AD with maybe a few more to come.

So, yeah, they're going to be on TV a lot.

The headline is, "Lakers have more national TV games than half the NBA combined in league's new schedule".

Well, duh. They are the defending champs, they have the biggest star in the league, they are the team of a metro area that has more people than all but 4 U.S. states, and they probably have more fans than the combined number of fans of the 15 least popular teams. Why not give them more TV games than those 15 teams combined. If you were in charge of ad sales at TNT, would you want to be selling advertising time for Memphis vs. OKC on a Tuesday night?
