Some players of interests:
26. Sayvia Sellers 5'7" PG (Cal offer)
49. Ari Long PG 6'0" (has Cal offer along with most of Pac-12, plays for Cal Stars)
86. Jordy Griggs W 6'1"

6'2" forward Khamil Pierre from Arizona is intriguing, ranked #87. Followed by Eliza on Twitter.

Is Cal still in on Harper Peterson (#25) & Morgan Cheli (#28) ?
2024 HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings - Super 60 - ESPN

Anybody else that Charmin Smith & Co have offered? This is the class that Cal will need to reel in replacement talent for departing seniors. GO BEARS!

it would be the 2023 class to replace Leilani, Eve and Jazlen. They will be seniors this Fall. Are they who you had in mind?

Or Alma, Ornela and Sela?

Remember, Jazlen Green missed her entire soph season due to knee injury/surgery. She did not play in a single game so she will have another year of eligibility if she chooses to utilize it. Who knows with the transfer portal situation? It probably depends upon whether Cal has a breakthrough winning season in 2022-23. Leilani McIntosh and Evelien Lutje-Schipholt will be missed. The Bears have a plethora of guards but lack depth in the front court (centers or power forwards). It would appear that recruiting a replacement for Schipholt would be of paramount import to the team. Dalayah Daniels and Fatou Samb, two more posts, just transferred out.

The other three members of the team that you named came in the recruit class following the initial three. Also,
Alma Elsnitz and Sela Heide have at least an additional year due to injuries, etc. Alma injured her knee in the 1st game of her freshman season. Heide only play in a few games last season. They'll have to work out their respective situations with the HC. Ornela Muca has stayed healthy but has received limited PT. She should have at least another season but I would imagine that she'll have to work it out with CS on whether she wishes to stay.

GO BEARS!

Also #14 Jordan Lee, #19 Katie Fiso, and #22 Tajianna Avant-Roberts .

I imagine Cal is interested in #18 Kennedy Smith from Etiwanda, #22 Mackenly Randolph, #24 Destiny Agubata also Etiwanda, #50 Athena Tomlinson, and Shaq's daughter #56 Me'Arah O'Neal.

Everyone gets a free COVID-19 year. They can use that at Cal if they want to stay.

Everyone is interested in all those elite players. The question is whether the players are interested in Cal.

Morgan Cheli, for example, is already being courted by Stanford, and Sayvia Sellers, among others, can go where she wants.

(Hopefully none of them care about women's swimming ...)

We simply must defeat our recruiting opponents by all means necessary

With UCLA our usual recruiting foe loaded up, we might be able to reel in a big haul from that rich '24 class.

Amanda muse, top 2023 recruit in Northern Cal just verballed to UCLA. I liked her for years and thought she would go to Stanford. 6'3" tall. Good rebounder and shot blocker.

Muse is an excellent player, from the Cal Stars' organization. A defense-first post.

Muse's mother was teammates with then coached by Cori Close at UCSB. UCLA assistant Tony Newnan was also on staff for UCSB WBB during that time!

You would never know it.

Looks more like a wing/forward than a forward/post with good ball handling, footwork, athleticism and length.

Looks like she's learned a lot. I'm happy to see a tall player develop a variety of skills rather than just post moves. I'd love it if all of our forwards could play guard in a pinch.

This player has speed and athleticism that most recruits lack. I would love it if Cal could land Khamil Pierre for 2023. She also shoots in close with authority as compared to most current or former Cal players. Overall-she is one of the most impressive recruits that I have seen...GO BEARS!

My only complaint is the team she is playing against is terrible defensively. That is why I like to go to live games.

Shaq's daughter Me'Arah O'Neal had a breakout EYBL tournament and risen to #2 ranking for ASGR.

Our target Pierre has picked up offers from Oregon and Kentucky. Hope we get her

Sellers to UW. Disappointing though I think we have a good shot at PG Shay Ijiwoye in 2024

She's from Anchorage Alaska, so it is closer to home.

Perhaps the Cal coaches had already moved on? Their latest recruiting trips (July 6-12) did not include Alaska.

It was Iowa, Kentucky, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, South Carolina and here in California. And Chicago.

Very true UW is closer. She played AAU with NorCal based Kidd Select though.

Shay Ijiwoye attends the same high school in Phoenix (Desert Vista) that can boast about having Kristine Anigwe as a graduate.

Sellers didn't play any games in Alaska. The coaches follow the EYBL/club circuit and Sellers plays for a top club team.

We used up the "Come and help us build a winning program" line with the Daniels recruiting class. Now we have to actually be a winning program.

Impressive offer list.

Vanderbilt coach is Shea Ralph, former long-time UConn assistant coach. She just completed her first year at Vanderbilt.
