Marianne Stanley took over as head coach for the 1996-97 season, so this list begins with the players who entered Cal during her first season. That was also the last season played at the old Harmon Gym. The Cal women then had to play their home games for the next two seasons at the miserable Kaiser Arena in Oakland before returning to Haas Pavilion for the 1999-2000 season. Stanley resigned after that 4th season and was replaced by Caren Horstmeyer for the 2000-01 season.

JANET FRANEY (La Mesa CA): Former guard is now Janet Franey Smith. Her [URL="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1406004793&sk=info"][COLOR="Blue"]facebook page[/COLOR][/URL] doesn't offer much public info but if you recall an alumni day of a few years ago, she brought along a young child. The "Smith" appears to be former Cal football player Corey Smith and they may be living in Galt.
