I guess that the psychology is similar to the men's football game this Saturday. Nobody expects the Bears to beat the Fighting Irish so Charmin doesn't have a lot to lose. Cal does have quite a bit to gain, however, if the game is competitive or we pull an upset. GO BEARS!

If we start by saying "the outcome could be one sided" and "nobody expects to beat the fighting Irish" we've already lost. What is the point of even playing?

Interesting. Notre Dame went 10-10 and 24-9 the past two seasons. Not exactly the 30-2, 32-2, etc teams we've been accustomed to. Will be a challenge nonetheless.

Charmin actually went to Ladue (Horton Watkins) which is just outside St. Louis - a fairly wealthy suburb. Think Piedmont but adding in the Oakland Hills and Rockridge for the student population.

Because what we say here doesn't matter?
Special homecoming for the head coach, against a team that is traditionally very good....on the biggest TV stage that they will have all season....there isn't going to be better motivation for the team.....

Maybe the outcome will be one-sided. The Bears might win in a blow-out.

Not basketball related. The football team is playing Notre Dame in Indiana tomorrow but I thought Newsom signed a bill banning travel to certain states, Indiana being one of them.

How do you watch the game? When I look at the NBC lineup at 1 pm for the Bay Area NBC is already broadcasting the Cal vs ND football game.
