gotcha. we went to half a dozen games (mostly women's) but not in assigned seats. instead we bounced up to rows where few bears had gone before.

might do something similar next season. wild card: cable access?

I live in Vancouver, BC so it's hard to make it to games but I always try to make sure someone sits in my seats.

I renewed my 5 tickets some weeks ago. And my donation. But remember, I asked for my tickets to be printed along with my parking pass.

Ditto. I liked the credit-card-sized electronic tickets a few years back but I find the phone app is a PITA and doesn't always work inside Haas.

You're making me feel young and hip. I do carry a phone, though I keep it powered off unless I really need it.

I don't carry a phone either.

I finally bought a (reconditioned) iPhone last year. It's good for the car and for travel, for talking overseas to BearBint the Younger, and for texting the sort of service people who are legitimately tethered to their phones.

I only use my phone for travelling.

Wow. I wrote Emily Baptista at client relations about getting printed tickets (BearBloke had already placed the order), saying we'd be happy to pick them up at will-call, and was told this morning that we could:

1. Receive a PDF of the tickets via email and print them out ourselves at home free of charge
2. Pick them up at will-call for a $7 fee
3. Have Cal print and ship them to us for a $25 shipping and handling fee

We have to pay for our season tickets to be printed now? Do non-season ticket holders have to pay a surcharge at the kiosk for a non-digital ticket?

I'm not blaming Emily, of course, but BearBloke and I have attended games since 1996, and been season ticket holders and members of Triple Threat/the Golden Way for about 15 years, and we find this kind of monetary squeezing rather tacky. (Mind you, a late and devoted Cal WBB fan who, together with his wife, endowed at least one scholarship--and still does--sat high up above the opponents' bench. Said they had never been offered free seats, or even the occasional courtside chairs, and he was too proud to ask.)

So I'm asking for that PDF.

I am picking up my tickets at Will Call. The person who called me to renew did not mention a $7.00 fee. One never knows from year to year!

I've given up on explaining to Cal (and others) that BearBloke doesn't carry a phone, and electronic tickets mean he can't get in without me. Phones are so convenient--until theiy're not.
