Her bio says she was a grad assistant for 2 years at UConn while earning a master's degree. Sounds like quality experience.

I'm all for bringing in some new blood, renewed enthusiasm and maybe some new ideas. The Bears must improve their defense in a big way because they will not have the firepower to outscore most of their opponents. Welcome-bring in some UConn ideas and let's win some games! GO BEARS!

Glad to get this news but, in fact, Kiara Russell's title is Director of Player Development, not coach--for a moment I thought Charmin had been fired and replaced.

The heading says, @New Cal WBB Coach". I got very excited. Then, I saw it is only a new assistant coach or something. What a let down.

At least there are some changes in new staff of Glover and Russell and new recruits coming in. I guess we'll need to see the development of the current and new players and their record this year.
