This 2024 6-3 post, Me"Arah O'Neal, from Episcopal HS, TX is rated #35 in the nation by Hoopgurlz. She is our highest rated recruit in the class of 2024. If Cal lands this four star over four SEC schools, Baylor, GT & ASU it will be a minor miracle. The Bears and Sun Devils have to be the long shots in this group.
Is her scholie the final one? I'll keep my fingers crossed. GO BEARS!

We must have some substantial NIL to offer if we are traveling in that crowd.

I'm thinking that Charmin and Coach Mark Madsen have had some serious discussions on that very topic...NIL

only one scholarship left??? off hand I would guess we have a lot more...seems like we only got 2 freshmen (that stayed so far) from the last 2 classes

Cal may have 12-15 scholarships available for next year. We will see who stays and whether any "commitments" actually sign.

1. Ila Lane - 1 year eligibility
2. Leilani McIntosh - 1 year eligibility
3. Ornela Muca - 2 years eligibility
4. Ioanna Krimili - 2 years eligibility
5. Kemery Martin - 2 years eligibility
6. McKayla Williams - 2 years eligibility
7. Claudia Langarita - 2 years eligibility
8. Mia Mastro - 2 years eligibility
9. Ugonne (Michelle) Onyiah - 2 years eligibility
10. Marta Suarez - 3 years eligibility
11. Alma Elsnitz - 3 years eligibility
12. Bella Stevens - 3 years eligibility

13. Lulu Laditan-Twidale - 4 years eligibility
14. Anastasia Drosouni - 4 years eligibility

2024 Commits
1. Gabrielle Abigor
2. Kamryn Mafua

Indeed! With only McIntosh and Lane running out of eligibility after this season, it is possible we only have 1 scholarship left, though I am unsure if Bella Stevens is on scholarship or if she would count against the 15 total, so possibly 2 scholarships for 2024.

That said, I expect Muca and Elsnitz to move on after this season, opening up 2 more scholarships for 2024. Furthermore, I believe 4 of the other 6 with 2 years eligibility left will have done at least 4 years of college after this season, meaning any further participation would be using a Covid year.

I'm guessing we have at least 4 more scholarships we're willing to offer to the right players from 2024.

As things stand today, it is less than 50/50 that Cal will EVEN be playing WBB or MBB. Things need to change drastically and fast. I don't see any current commit or potential future recruit seriously considering Cal for the '24 season.

Do you need to be in a conference to schedule basketball games?
