Cailyn Crocker appears to have made the right move to transfer. She regained 100% of her health and put-up superior stats in virtually every category for the Rams. She played 30 games and had PT of 30.5 mpg. Cailyn was third for Colorado State in scoring at 10.6 ppg and shot over 45% from the floor and 40% on her threes. Most important of all, her team was a winner, 20-12. The Rams were 14-2 at Fort Collins. I guess that she got coached up like Dalayah Daniels did at Washington...

Cailyn played well at Cal when she was healthy. Did our coaches cause her injuries?

stu-let's put it this way. Both players had their most productive seasons last year. GO BEARS!

Most players have their most productive seasons later in their careers. On our current team look at Leilani. And if our incoming transfers look better then they did as freshies don't blame their previous coaches.

If you're correct in your prediction, this Cal team could significantly benefit. Both Ioanna Krimili and Ila Lane were first team all-league players that averaged double-digit ppg. McKayla Williams averaged 7.7 ppg and should be able to breakout at Cal. Marta Suarez only played 1 1/2 seasons at Tennessee. She is ready to breakout in her junior season as a Bear.

Two things to remember: Jayda Curry's offensive numbers must be replaced (Krimili's scoring). This theory doesn't always pan out. Claudia Langarita scored 10.5 ppg at USF but only averaged approximately 4 ppg for Charmin Smith in Berkeley. She needed more minutes on the floor.

2023-24 Women's Basketball Roster - California Golden Bears Athletics (calbears.com)

In summary, if enough shots are available, I could see potential double-digit scorers abound (eight) this season for Cal:
Ioanna Krimili
Ila Lane
Kemery Martin
Leilani McIntosh
McKayla Williams
Claudia Langarita
Marta Suarez
Michelle Onyiah

Actually, two more guards/wings, Mia Maslov & Lulu Laditan-Twidale, could also blossom. Mia is a streak shooter and Cal fans have yet to witness freshman Aussie, Lulu, play.

Obviously, this many would be unlikely but they all have the capability to succeed in doing it. If the Bears could actually have five (out of ten) average double-digits, Cal could achieve a winning season in 2023-24!
GO BEARS!
