Better team won. Beat them handily. where is S 71. They were out coached and out played. We still might have a recruit that come come from them.

Why are either of you two clowns rooting for Southern California against Northern California? This the fourth consecutive open championship that Mitty has lost. Two seasons ago it was Ju Ju Watkins team that slaughtered the Monarchs. Tonight-it was Kennedy Smith, Bump Morris, Grace Knox & Mickell Richards that held Mitty to 29 points through three quarters.
Sue Phillips did not press against such a fast and athletic team until the fourth quarter and the Monarchs cut the 21 points lead down to 12. Too late.
Mitty had 21 turnovers against Etiwanda last season and I would predict that they had more tonight. Etiwanda employed a 2-3 zone with "man responsibilities." Morgan Cheli had the worst game of her career, scoring four points and turned the ball over numerous times. Soph Woliczko had only 14 points and 10 rebounds. Weissman hit Mitty's only three-pointer in the final minute of the game. The game was non-competitive. AM usually scored 70-80 points per game and only produced 48 tonight.
Mitty will rule Northern California again next season but will undoubtedly lose in the Open championship game.
A record of 30-1 still isn't too bad. The Monarchs return 11 of 14 players next season. The only senior that had a decent game tonight was Belle Bramer with 10 points.

Because this is a Cal board and we are interested in teams that have possible recruits to Cal. If you want to publish Mitty scores when they beat someone 90 to 19, why should we care. And suppose that team that got beat has members who are Cal fans. I bet they feel great having you humilate them by the score. We see how you react when your team is beaten. How do you think they feel?

There is also no shortage of people on this board who are from SoCal. I'm a proud Cal alum, but have rooted against the Warriors, Niners and Giants for many years (less caring about that now, as I have the east coast pro rivalries to care about), but if I make your "clown" list, then so be it.

The rest of you seem to be unaware that wvitbear and OBear073 have been my adversaries for many years. They favor the North Coast Section and have always been against the Central Coast Section. They cannot stand the fact that Mitty has been the best Northern California program for quite some time and held the #1 ranking in the nation for the entire season (until last night).
This is why I used "you two clowns" specifically due to our personal rivalries. Perhaps, I should not have used it but with decades worth of animosity built up that's what sometimes happens.
When next season roles around, I will attempt to talk myself into not posting OT Archbishop Mitty unless Cal recruits a Monarch.

What North Coast team was I supporting this year. I supported teams that had cal recruits. Mostly Folsom. Are they in the North Coast. It is true that I followed San Ramon but they have a walkon coming to Cal next year. Queiroz hasn't asid no yet. But name mean one score I have posted from those years. If they beat someone badly, i wouldn't want to embarass the loser badly, . I talked About Bret Harte but they are in the Sierras.

thanks wvitbear. we (bret harte public high school) only won a Division 5 state championship last year. But we can't recruit players, so we only got to the playoffs this year. just like you i root for teams that have players going to CAL. There are people who don't like private schools. I only don't like them when they press you for four quarters and only beat you 104 to 8. that could be a nice matchup for Mitty. I hope you are doing well wvitbear. Take care.wvitbear said:

Oh, yes i have finally retired from coaching basketball. When the players I used to coach now are new good coaches, it is time to let them take the reins.

I have been posting things here for 26 years. Since people started using OT, I have adopted it to share things not directly pertaining to the thread subject matter. Many other posters also use OT but only I get roasted for it. You guys are a bunch of hypocrites.

"OT" isn't some Presidential pardon that you let's you post whatever you want without reaction right? You had personal attacks (okay, the people in question survived, I'm quite sure) and you brought up a discussion of NorCal vs. SoCal, which has nothing to do with your Mitty posts.
How many posts did you make about Mitty until you got "roasted?" Very OT respected if you ask me. Your expectation is that everyone here will follow your lead and be rooting for Mitty, and then you can't handle it when some people are actually happy that they lose? Or some pushback earlier because of the beating up on teams (bothers me less than some I suppose).
Can't stand the "roasting," stay out of the kitchen it sounds like.
